Banking Onboarding Officer

On behalf of our client, a company offering Legal, Corporate, Compliance, AML and Banking consulting, we are looking for a Banking Onboarding Officer to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the opening of the Corporate and Client Bank Accounts & EMI’s, in Cyprus and Overseas.   
  • Responsible for the bank reviews.
  • Investigates new banking options.
  • Processes and Monitors deposit failures and resolves any errors, maximizes the deposit approval rate.
  • Assists clients with their banking requests and liaises between clients and banks.
  • Maintains the bank database.
  • Manages banking relationships worldwide.
  • Ensures that Payment Gateways are active and working properly.
  • Forwards financial matters and requests to the Head of Department.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role or onboarding-focused role within the financial services industry.
  • Experience and knowledge of payment industry regulations, standards, and processes.
  • Experience working with PSPs and an understanding of industry trends and potential challenges.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in documentation and contract management.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related fields, will be considered a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills.
