On behalf of our client, a well-established financial services company, we are looking for a Compliance Manager to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors and reviews AML and Compliance matters relevant to the Company in regard to applicable Laws and Regulations
- Develops and implement adequate policies and procedures to meet the compliance requirements of CySEC and other applicable laws and regulations
- Designs and implements processes, procedures, and controls related to the prevention of Money Laundering
- Oversees and monitors the implementation of the Compliance Monitoring Program
- Tracks regulatory changes and ensures that the necessary actions are taken
- Monitors the expected legal developments and updates, relevant to AML and Compliance, and communicates to senior management in a proactive manner as to their possible/expected implications for the Company
- Drafts and prepares the annual and ad-hoc Reports in collaboration with external consultants
- Ensures that the monitoring of the client accounts and the performance of continuous due diligence after a client is accepted, are being carried out in accordance with the Company’s policies and the relevant legislation
- Ensures that the Company’s staff is adequately trained in AML matters as these relate to the performance of their respective duties
- Handles CySEC’s requests and Client complaints
- Carries out the Company’s Annual Internal Audit
Job Requirements
- University or postgraduate degree or other equivalent qualification in a field related to Law, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration
- At least 3 years of experience as an AMLCO/CO position in another investment firm is a must
- Holder of a CySEC Advanced Certificate
- Excellent understanding of CySEC regulations and associated legislation, such as ESMA and MiFID II
- Excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and critical thinking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (World, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
