Core Systems QA and Operational Support Officer

On behalf of our client, a fast-growing Information & Technology Solutions & Services provider we are looking for a Core Systems QA and Operational Support Officer to be based at their offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates and manages detailed test plans and test cases for core banking systems to ensure they meet business and compliance requirements
  • Conducts thorough testing, including functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing
  • Identifies, documents, and tracks defects and issues, while collaborating with development teams to resolve them effectively
  • Maintains a detailed documentation of the test plans, test cases, test results, and defect logs
  • Engages with key stakeholders to gather input, gain buy-in, and communicates testing progress and outcomes
  • Proposes and implements improvements to testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall quality assurance efforts

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, system testing, operational support or a related field, preferably within the banking sector
  • Knowledge of Relational Database mechanics and SQL will be a major asset
  • Knowledge of MS Excel – familiarity with Excel formulas will be a plus
  • Proficiency in developing and executing test plans and test cases
  • Familiarity with QA methodologies, standards, and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
