Database Developer

On behalf of our Client, a leading forex company, we are looking for a Database Developer to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Designs, develops and maintains efficient, reusable, and appropriate SQL solutions in Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL, and related tools
• Defines and documents requirements (including non-technical ones)
• Collaborates with the business and project teams to ensure that requirements are comprehensive
• Communicates with third party suppliers to understand their software APIs and integrates them with your solutions to load data
• Provides support for software solutions, including analysis, tracking and resolution
• Reports progress on development and escalates issues or slippages in a timely fashion, identifies remedial action to keep the project on track
• Shares and documents technical and domain knowledge to improve support and eliminate single points of failure
• Accurately estimates the time and materials required to complete a piece of development work
• Keeps informed of industry developments and technologies and shares ideas and best practice with the team

Main Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science or related field
• Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL server and T-SQL
• Good knowledge of data management and manipulation, code management and version control
• Experience of supporting and creating SSIS packages
• Familiarity with Tableau or similar reporting package will be considered an advantage
• Familiarity with other databases (MySQL, postgres) will be considered an advantage 
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
