On behalf of our client, a newly-established firm offering financial solutions, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to be based at their premises in Limassol, Cyprus.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Designs, builds, and maintains a scalable, reliable, and high-performance cloud infrastructure.
- Develops and manages Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (hands-on experience is a must).
- Ensures AWS best practices for production environments, including high availability, security, and cost optimization.
- Maintains and enhances our EKS-based Kubernetes environment, optimizing for performance and security.
- Manages Kafka clusters, ensuring reliability, scaling, and performance tuning.
- Implements and optimizes monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, and Jaeger.
- Automates deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, and ArgoCD.
- Administers AWS services such as RDS, S3, Route53, ACM (AWS Cert Manager), SSM, Lambda, ECS, and OpenVPN.
- Troubleshoots production issues, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
- Collaborates with developers and security teams to improve infrastructure reliability and security.
- Maintains multi-environment infrastructure and ensure smooth deployments across development, staging, and production
Job Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, focusing on Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Over three years of expertise in AWS production environments
- Mastery of Kubernetes (EKS) and Kafka
- Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools, including Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch, and Jaeger
- Deep understanding of Linux system administration and networking
- Experience with CI/CD automation tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and AWS CodePipeline
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Self-driven and proactive approach towards operational excellence
