On behalf of our client , a live-streaming platform , we are looking for a General QA Engineer to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborates closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of software requirements or system dependencies to provide early feedback on quality-related aspects and design appropriate testing strategies for complex backend workflows
- Participates in product and architectural design reviews and creates comprehensive test plans accordingly
- Designs and executes testing strategies for Android, web, and iOS clients
- Develops and maintains test plans, test cases, (and automated tests if you have an interest) based on product requirements and specifications
- Leads and executes end-to-end quality assurance activities, including test planning, test design, test execution, and defect management
- Designs and executes backend testing strategies, including API testing beyond basic functionality, message queue testing, and service integration validation
- Ensures the highest test coverage to meet the quality gate
- Manages and supports the release processes (participates in manual regression)
Job Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in QA
- Strong interpersonal skills; a true team player
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Able to take ownership and deliver results
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA’s role in each phase
- Deep knowledge of test design techniques and test coverage assessment
- Solid experience with client testing: Android, web, iOS
- Solid understanding of client-server architecture and QA best practices/tools
- Experience with testing microservices architectures, message queues, event-driven systems, or similar distributed system components
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide practical solutions
- Ability to analyse system logs, debug complex multi-service interactions, and understand data flow across system boundaries
- Familiarity with Git and Git commands
- Excellent verbal and written English
