On behalf of our client, a luxurious Hotel and Spa, we are looking for a Guest Services Manager to be based at their premises in Paphos, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Interacts with guests as well as individuals outside the hotel including, but not limited to travel agents, group organizers, competitors and other members of the local community.
- Supervises the Guest Services Team to ensure a consistently high standard of customer service following the Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort guidelines and the Standard Operating Procedures of the department. Conducts daily briefings and monthly meetings. Ensures daily tasks and activities are completed.
- Ensures that all staff have a high level of product knowledge of the hotel and the local area and is updated on the daily hotel operations
- Informs other operational departments such as Housekeeping and F&B on matters related to arrival times, special requests and VIP amenities set up. Regularly reviews and develops the standards of VIP amenities following guest comments.
- Maintains a database of guest comments. Ensures Guest questionnaires are distributed and collected for guest satisfaction statistics.
- Ensures that all customers’ queries, requests and complains are handled in a polite, efficient manner and a high level of customer service is consistently maintained. Complaints and follow up are recorded and communicated to the relevant departments.
- Achieves a good collaboration and co-operation with all the other Management team members to ensure company’s goals achievement.
- Acts as a Duty Manager of the hotel and follows the company’s procedure related to the Duty Manager’s tasks and responsibilities.
- As the Department’s Leader uses Empowerment, Coaching and Mentoring in order to achieve employee’s maximum productivity, loyalty and motivation.
- Co-ordinates a departmental Orientation/Induction program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training in successfully perform their job.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of a Hospitality School or a holder of a Public Relations Degree or any other related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position of another 4- or 5-star hotel
- Fluency in English and Greek languages – any other language will be considered as an advantage
- Character distinguished by courtesy and positive attitude towards customer service
- Good communication and organizational skills
