On behalf of our client, a cybersecurity company, we are looking for a Head of Accounts to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides accurate, timely and relevant recording of daily financial information based on international accounting policies and standards
- Prepares and submits vat returns on a timely basis
- Performs bank reconciliations
- Monitors and performs clients/suppliers’ statements of accounts and reconciliations
- Handles bank/creditors payments
- Prepares the company’s payroll – (including responsibility for payment of the related taxes and other deductions and contributions to the relevant governmental Authorities (Tax Department, Department of Social Security, etc.)
- Communicates with external stakeholders (e.g Banks, Lawyers, Auditors, Governmental authorities, etc.)
- Handles Value Added Tax, Corporation Tax, Defence Fund, G.H.S and other related payments
- Manages day-to-day transactions
- Prepares budget/forecasting management reports
- Performs any other accounting tasks required
Job Requirements:
- University Degree in Accounting, Finance or any other related field will be considered an advantage
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position is required.
- Strong knowledge of TAX / VAT regulations, Labour legislation and payroll procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting, payroll and software databases
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- Excellent planning organization and time pressure management skills
