On behalf of our client, a forex company, we are looking for a Head of Compliance to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists with compliance matters per internal policies and agreements with senior management.
- Addresses internal and external compliance queries as needed.
- Helps draft and develop policies to meet CySEC and local regulatory requirements.
- Establishes and enforces internal practices and procedures to comply with legislation and regulations.
- Implements and conducts compliance monitoring as per regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for the preparation and submission of reports to CySEC and other EU bodies, including COMP-CIF, CA-CIF, MPS, IFR, and others.
- Stays current on regulatory changes and updates internal policies accordingly.
- Communicates with regulatory bodies and other stakeholders on compliance issues.
- Ensures marketing materials comply with legal requirements.
- Collaborates with all departments to implement controls and procedures.
- Assists with training (CPDs) and general guidance for staff.
- Supports license applications and prepares submission packages.
- Monitors and reviews service providers, ensuring due diligence and compliance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related fields; CySEC certifications preferred.
- 3+ years in a senior compliance role, preferably in financial services with CySEC knowledge.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage tasks and work collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance management systems.
