Insurance Administrator

With immediate effect, we are looking for an Insurance Administrator to be based at our offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Notifies the insurers/brokers for enrolment, cancelation, and alteration for policies such as H&M, FDD, LOH, WAR, P&I, Accident, Cash Box, E&O, D&O, etc.
  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of insurance declarations.
  • Checks the insurance policies upon renewal and endorsements during the financial year.
  • Checks /approves the invoices for payment, end-of-year premium adjustments
  • Renewal correspondence
  • Handles Insurance claims such as Reporting /Follow-up correspondence in coordination with the responsible function/ Submits claims / Follow-up payments / Maintains insurance records and statistics.
  • Maintains the insurance filing system.
  • Responsible for the enrolment of vessels with ITF and renewal of ITF.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Operations Director.

Qualifications

  • A University Degree in a Shipping related subject is preferred
  • Experience in Insurance & Claims within the industry or general shipping matters
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and communication (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
