On behalf of our client, a leading data center operator and an enterprise IT integrator, we are looking for an IT Support/ Field Engineer to be based at their offices in Limassol or Larnaca, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides first level onsite/local and remote support to end-users (desktop and notebook PCs and peripherals)
- Manages, monitors, maintains and supports customer and in-house systems, applications and infrastructure
- Analyzes logs and use the company’s monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems
- Contributes to technical lifecycle projects such as updating and patching of operating systems, equipment software/firmware and equipment replacements/upgrades
- Deploys/installs various IT systems and infrastructure
- Fulfills any other duties relevant to the role assigned by the company’s management
Job Requirements:
- University/college degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant subject
- Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux Server and Desktop operating systems
- Good understanding of basic networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Prior experience, knowledge or active certifications in VMWare, Microsoft, Cisco, Veeam and similar technologies will be considered an advantage
- Good interpersonal and communicational skills in Greek and English, both verbal and writing
- Car (category B, Manual) driving license
- Good time and task management skills with ability to multitask
- Self-initiative, self-motivation, self-discipline, dependability and commitment
- Team player
- Strong analytical thinking and excellent problem-solving capabilities
