IT Systems Administrator

On behalf of our client, a group of companies that specialize in maritime, industrial and satellite communication services, oil and gas/ renewable energy pursuits, we are looking for an IT Systems Administrator to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversees and develops the IT infrastructure 
• Serves as Tier 3 support directly to the technical support team for advanced issues
• Works with the product development and engineering teams on new developments for existing or new products
• Supports commercial team for promotion and explanation of products to clients
• Communicates on regular basis with the product development team around projects and issues
• Provides regular cross-training to tier 2 and tier 1 team members
• Assists actively with other team members with issues, projects and maintenance 
• Promotes standardization using existing ITIL-based processes including Change Management to further the goals of the global department
• Assists in the long-term roadmap development for the IT engineering department
• Maintains document architecture and operations guide
• Presents project options to management
• Provides IT recommendations to solve business problems
• Manages technical projects using established project management methodologies.
• Provides ongoing monitoring and response for systems using monitoring and alerting tools.
• Ensures ongoing compliance and assists in the renewal process for support, maintenance, and licenses.
• Ensures ongoing disaster recovery capability.
• Recommends and implements global architectural upgrades and changes.
• Generates and maintains accurate and timely documentation of the platform.
• Facilitates the Quality Manager for the most efficient implementation of the ISO 9001:2015 and 27001 system.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of previous experience in Information Technology (IT)
• Minimum 5 years experience in IT Networking
• Experience with MS Active Directory technologies
• Experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Previous experience in pre-sales engineering will be an advantage 
• Microsoft Certifications (MDAA, Enterprise Administrator Expert) will be considered an advantage
• Linux Professional Institute Certification 1 (LPIC-1) OR Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) will be considered an advantage
