On behalf of our client, a law firm providing a comprehensive range of legal services to local and international clients, we are looking for a Corporate Lawyer to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carries out due diligence reviews for the purposes of identifying potential legal risks and liabilities associated with the relevant transactions and advises clients on risk mitigation strategies
- Reviews and/ or drafts legal documents related to transactions such as share purchase agreements, shareholders agreements, subscription agreements, loan agreements, security documents etc.
- Prepares and issues opinions on finance and other transactions
- Communicates with clients on an ongoing basis, discussing the progress of the transactions and various issues that may develop during the course thereof
- Reviews and/or drafts of transactions documents, contracts, and agreements in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Represents the client’s interests in negotiations in all matters connected to transactions
- Prepares documentation for local mergers, cross border mergers, restructuring schemes of groups of companies
- Gives advice to insurance, banking and investment firms
Job Requirements:
- University degree in Law
- Qualified lawyer by the Cyprus Bar Association
- At least 3-5 years’ experience practicing law in Cyprus or any other jurisdiction
- Specific corporate and commercial experience is ideal for the successful candidate
- Proficient in Greek and English
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
