Logistics, Supply Chain & Export Specialist

On behalf of our client, an international maritime catering management and training business, we are looking for a Logistics, Supply Chain & Export Specialist   to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Sources and negotiates with local and international suppliers for high-quality provision items.
  • Secures the best pricing, contract terms, and supply conditions to meet operational needs and budget targets.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with suppliers and wholesalers, monitoring their performance and reliability.
  • Analyzes purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
  • Oversees the storage, handling, and quality control of provision items in line with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Manages and optimizes warehouse operations, ensuring correct product rotation, stock accuracy, and readiness for export.
  • Ensures efficient sourcing and inventory management of key provision categories to support global operations.
  • Coordinates with culinary and operations teams to align inventory and supply planning with vessel demand.
  • Plans, coordinates, and monitors international shipments to ensure on-time dispatch, delivery, and customs clearance.
  • Liaises with freight forwarders, carriers, customs agents, port authorities, and logistics providers to secure bookings, resolve issues or delays, and maintain strong relationships.
  • Prepares, reviews, and manages shipping and customs documentation (invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.), ensuring compliance with international trade laws, Incoterms, and destination requirements.
  • Tracks shipments, maintains accurate logistics records, and updates stakeholders on delivery progress.
  • Monitors key logistics and procurement KPIs, reporting on cost trends, supplier efficiency, and overall performance.
  • Monitors trade restrictions, sanctions, embargoes, and country-specific regulations, maintaining detailed records for audits, inspections, and compliance.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for logistics and export inquiries from suppliers, customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Attends trade shows and exhibitions to identify product trends, meet suppliers, and build relationships, while reporting on leads, quotations, and outcomes.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives across the supply chain.

Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field. 
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in maritime logistics, shipping, or international trade operations — ideally handling food or provision items.
  • Proven negotiation and supplier management expertise.
  • Strong understanding of export procedures, international shipping practices, and customs compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and general computer literacy.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work independently, prioritize multiple deadlines, and adapt to fast-paced environments.
  • A genuine interest in the maritime and catering industry, and enthusiasm for operational excellence.
