Payments & Fraud Agent

On behalf of our client, a software solutions company, we are looking for a Payments & Fraud Agent to be based at their offices in Larnaca, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proceeds with payments investigations
  • Proactively finds players receiving bonuses which they are not eligible for, applying appropriate processes to resolve the issue
  • Suggests improvements to tools and procedures
  • Professionally handles of all related customer and support queries
  • Processes incoming and outgoing customer payments, in a timely and error-free manner
  • Follows up and payment-related issues or customer queries proactively
  • Liaises with third parties such as payment service providers
  • Independently determines fraudulent activity and acts according to agreed procedures with regards to transactions acceptance, account blocking and further checks
  • Minimizes fraud loss and chargeback rates through the prevention, detection and investigation of fraudulent or suspected transactions and accounts
  • Investigates suspicious alerts received from any fraud monitoring applications, the Customer Service Team or other sources, and ensure all related records/documentation are maintained
  • Undertakes proactive analysis of customer records, to link unidentified accounts to known or suspected fraudulent activity
  • Where available, utilises automated (or other) systems to verify customers and validate any documentation received for KYC purposes
  • Analyses all reported fraud cases, to identify any new and emerging fraud trends
  • Maintains and review online customers accounts and activity.
  • Maintains a close working relationship with other teams 

Job Requirements: 

  • Must be comfortable working shifts, including weekends
  • Graduation of high school or post-secondary school
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar position
  • Understanding and implementing KYC and anti-fraud policies
  • Fluent in English, in both verbal and written form
  • Knowledge of Internet related software & Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
