On behalf of our client, a company offering banking, legal counsel, and dealing support, we are looking for a Payroll Officer to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Processes payroll for employees accurately and timely, including calculations of salaries, wages, overtime, and deductions.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding payroll processing, including tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and benefits administration.
- Prepares and distributes direct deposits to employees.
- Generates payroll reports for management as needed.
- Maintains accurate payroll records.
- Responds to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
- Collaborates with HR department to ensure accurate employee data and compliance with company policies.
- Assists with payroll-related projects and initiatives as needed.
Job Requirements
- BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency with payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
