Payroll Officer

On behalf of our client, a company offering banking, legal counsel, and dealing support, we are looking for a Payroll Officer to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Processes payroll for employees accurately and timely, including calculations of salaries, wages, overtime, and deductions.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding payroll processing, including tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and benefits administration.
  • Prepares and distributes direct deposits to employees.
  • Generates payroll reports for management as needed.
  • Maintains accurate payroll records.
  • Responds to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
  • Collaborates with HR department to ensure accurate employee data and compliance with company policies.
  • Assists with payroll-related projects and initiatives as needed.

Job Requirements

  • BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
  • Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
