Payroll Officer

On behalf of our client, a multinational home furnishings company, we are looking for a Payroll Officer to be based at their premises in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the time recording and absences system while maintaining all HR databases, reporting, and systems in order to ensure correct salary payments.
  • Responsible for payroll administrative duties.
  • Handles the full cycle of the payroll process, including monthly reports.
  • Assumes projects that the store HR Manager appoints and brings them to the desired result within the agreed deadlines and quality standards.
  • Processes payroll salaries, overtime, deductions, worked hours, absences, sick leaves, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of study (a postgraduate degree will be considered an asset).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Payroll Officer position, ideally in the high-volume retail sector.
  • Familiarity with HR administration processes (public authorities, employment legislation).
  • Very good command of the English and Greek languages.
  • Computer literate with very good knowledge of MS Office and proficiency in Excel.
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Very good planning, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Team- and customer-service-oriented personalities.
  • Achievement drive, analytical, and numerical abilities.
