Project Manager for school EXTRA program

On behalf of our client, a private international school, we are looking for an enthusiastic Project Manager (Extracurricular) to be based at their school in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Responsibilities and Duties : 

  • Implements and coordinates the mission and the educational philosophy of our school with the strategy of the extracurricular activities
  • Actively seeks and coordinates opportunities for students to participate in local and international contests, competitions, and exchanges
  • Creates a pool of experts in each field
  • Set mid and long-term learning goals for students and experts based on hard and soft skills that the students are going to develop
  • Searches, interviews and monitors experts’ performance regularly
  • Looks for chances to improve school processes and uses them
  • Manages the extracurricular timetable
  • Provides guidance and counselling to the experts, taking responsibility for their progress
  • Organizes school events and assemblies for the students and the parents
  • Attends conferences to gain knowledge on current educational and extracurricular trends
  • Setting expectations for discipline and behavior, including dealing with inappropriate behavior according to school policy
  • Works closely with the management team and the School Principal, providing regular reports and updates with regards to performance, staffing, finance, outcomes and strategic direction
  • Attends staff meetings and parents’ evenings and communicates any feedback to those affected
  • Follows the school’s internal behavior, health and safety rules and regulations

Job Requirements: 

  • Recent senior leadership experience in organizing, monitoring extracurricular activities
  • Experience in maintaining the standards and quality of extracurricular activities
  • Knowledge of school administrative processes
  • Knowledge of project-based learning and visual learning or willingness to obtain this knowledge quickly
  • International experience of working with colleagues, children and parents
  • Excellent presentation, communication and management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience and understanding of managing people, budgets and IT in relation to its effective use in extracurricular activities
  • Assessment of children and experts and communication within and outside the school
  • Ability to organize extracurricular activities, providing a tailored approach to a variety of children’s needs and visible motivating results
  • Crisis assessment and management
  • A strong work ethic and passion to develop children and organize processes effectively
  • Ability to coach and inspire
  • A degree in Education or a Master’s degree is preferred
  • C1 Level of English & Russian is an advantage
  • A2 Level of Greek is an advantage
