On behalf of our client, a leading forex company, we are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Stays up to date with regulatory changes and updates in the industry
- Develops, implements, and maintains compliance policies and procedures
- Ensures the organization complies with all relevant regulations and industry standards
- Conducts regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues
- Monitors daily operations to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Develops and delivers training programs on compliance and regulatory matters for employees
- Performs, verifies and supervises the KYC due diligence checks
- Ensures all staff are aware of and understand their compliance responsibilities
- Identifies and assesses compliance risks, implementing measures to mitigate these risks
- Investigates and resolves compliance-related incidents and breaches
- Coordinates with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance
- Communicates compliance expectations, guidelines and updates across the organization
- Maintains accurate and comprehensive records of compliance activities
- Ensures documentation is readily available for audits and regulatory inspections
- Serves as a resource and advisor to the Compliance team on compliance and AML-related matters
- Prepares/amends the company’s necessary documents (e.g. templates)
- Reviews, investigates, and assists with the resolution of client complaints
- Advises and assists the relevant person responsible for carrying out the investment services to be compliant with the applicable laws
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law / Finance / Economics / Business or related field
- At least 4 years of experience as a Compliance Officer or a similar position in the financial services industry
- CySEC Advanced, CySEC AML or ACAMS certificates will be considered as an advantage
- Previous experience with CySEC, FSA, FSCA, VFSC, FSC will be considered as advantage
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Fluent in English language (Verbal & Written)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to work under pressure
