Senior Compliance Officer

On behalf of our client, a leading forex company, we are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus. 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Stays up to date with regulatory changes and updates in the industry
  • Develops, implements, and maintains compliance policies and procedures
  • Ensures the organization complies with all relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Conducts regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues
  • Monitors daily operations to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Develops and delivers training programs on compliance and regulatory matters for employees
  • Performs, verifies and supervises the KYC due diligence checks
  • Ensures all staff are aware of and understand their compliance responsibilities
  • Identifies and assesses compliance risks, implementing measures to mitigate these risks
  • Investigates and resolves compliance-related incidents and breaches
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance
  • Communicates compliance expectations, guidelines and updates across the organization
  • Maintains accurate and comprehensive records of compliance activities
  • Ensures documentation is readily available for audits and regulatory inspections
  • Serves as a resource and advisor to the Compliance team on compliance and AML-related matters
  • Prepares/amends the company’s necessary documents (e.g. templates)
  • Reviews, investigates, and assists with the resolution of client complaints
  • Advises and assists the relevant person responsible for carrying out the investment services to be compliant with the applicable laws 

Job Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Law / Finance / Economics / Business or related field
  •  At least 4 years of experience as a Compliance Officer or a similar position in the financial services industry
  •  CySEC Advanced, CySEC AML or ACAMS certificates will be considered as an advantage
  •  Previous experience with CySEC, FSA, FSCA, VFSC, FSC will be considered as advantage
  •  Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards
  •  Fluent in English language (Verbal & Written)
  •  Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  •  Ability to work under pressure
