Service Desk Engineer

On behalf of our Client, a leading Forex company with offices around the world, we are looking for a Service Desk Engineer to be based at their offices in  Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures proper and smooth operation of the MT4 and MT5 trading platforms
  • Installs, replaces and configures computer hardware, operating systems, trading platforms and applications
  • Troubleshoots hardware and software conflicts and repair or adjustments when necessary
  • Installs and troubleshoots Windows based systems
  • Works with Microsoft, GSuite and cloud technologies
  • Assists with the administration of Windows operating system, Azure Portal
  • Performs routine audits of systems and software, and resolves any problems identified
  • Administers the company’s ticketing system and responds to staff requests in the agreed SLA, and logs all IT support helpdesk calls in the ticket system
  • Monitors our systems by using monitoring tools
  • Provides guidance, support and training to staff on IT related issues
  • Liaises with external associates to solve any problem

Job Requirements

  • University degree in Information Technology, or any other relevant field
  • Experience in a similar position will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proactive and efficient with strong organisational skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and work independently
  • Provides fast, polite and efficient responses to all staff
  • Knowledge of Windows 10/2012/2016 (MacOS knowledge will be considered an advantage)
