On behalf of our Client, a multidiscipline marine service provider, we are looking for a Vessel Accountant to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares and maintains accurate financial records, including journal entries, and financial statements, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
- Manages cash flow, including forecasting, monitoring, and ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet financial obligations.
- Ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including preparation and filing of tax returns, and keeping up to date with changes in tax laws.
- Collaborates with the CFO and other teams across the organization to develop and maintain the annual budget and forecasting process, ensuring that financial targets are met.
- Provides financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making, including the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
- Assists with the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and implement new procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 3 years of relevant experience in financial management and analysis
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Good Knowledge in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic industry.
