Accountant

On behalf of our client, a premium audit firm, we are looking for an Accountant to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Requirements 

  • Records day to day financial transactions (invoices, receipts, payments etc) and completes the posting process
  • Prepares monthly payroll calculations 
  • Performs reconciliations on receivables, payables, bank accounts and payroll in a timely manner
  • Prepares and submits the VAT and VIES returns 
  • Prepares and submits of relevant tax (IR1, IR7) forms
  • Makes registrations to the Tax, Vat and Social Insurance Department
  • Reports to the head of accounting

Main Requirements 

  • An academic background in Accounting and Finance
  • Prior experience in accounting/ bookkeeping will be considered as an advantage 
  • Knowledge of E-soft program will be considered as an advantage
  • Good personality with strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team 
  • Attention to detail, strong numerical skills and results driven attitude
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages

With immediate effect we are looking for an Assistant to the Group Finance Director to be based at our offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Provides administrative support to the Group Finance Director, preparing reports and correspondence with investors and ship owners.
  • Assists with the preparation of financial reports and budgeting
  • Maintains financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Supports the finance team with data entry, invoicing, and other tasks as needed
  • Assists with the coordination of audits and other financial reviews
  • Manages and maintain financial databases and systems

Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role would be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis
  • Experience with financial software and systems, such as SAP, Microsoft Power BI and Excel
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Accountant (Disbursements)

With immediate effect, we are looking for an Accountant (Disbursements) to be based at our office in Limassol, Cyprus.

 Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares the accounting/journal entries that need to be posted, in accordance with each Business Unit’s and Operating Unit’s requirements
  • Ensures compliance with local regulations and requirements
  • Calculates, analyzes and handles proforma and final disbursements.
  • Responsible to off charge costs to third parties in accordance with existing agreements.
  • Ensures that all the journal entries indicated by the General Accounting & Reporting Head are posted to the appropriate accounts
  • Investigates any discrepancies in the general ledger/ accounting entries as indicated by the General Accounting & Reporting Head
  • Responds to queries/ requirements from the local Head of Financial Management and Accounting

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • LCCI Level III will be considered an advantage
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business stakeholders
  • Previous experience in a similar position is not required but will be considered an advantage 
  • Very good command of the English language
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
