On behalf of our client, an innovative law firm, we are looking for an Accountant to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors of all bookkeeping and recording transaction in the various accounting systems and registration of income and expenses.
- Opens and Manages of Bank Accounts
- Prepares, manages and presents monthly, quarterly and annual profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Reconciliates of its bank accounts on a weekly basis.
- Drafts, issues and prepares, checks and approves of invoices, accounting statements and tracking of collection progress.
- Prepares and reviews of internal reports at regular intervals intervals (as requested by the firm’s management).
- Communicates, cooperates and coordinates with the firm’s suppliers
- Communicates with clients for the purpose of settlement outstanding payments.
- Processes of the firm’s accounts payable and management of all correspondence and inquiries from suppliers.
- Supervises of invoice processing, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos and payment transactions.
- Manages of all income/revenue and taxes and prepares of income tax returns declarations, V.A.T. declarations, social insurance and other declarations in accordance with the applicable legislative and regulatory framework. TAXISNET service (preparation and submission of VIES, V.A.T.)
- Liaises with external auditors at a regular basis, for the purpose of organizing and updating the financial records of the firm as well as the financial records of third companies.
- Processes of the firm’s payroll as well as processing of the payroll of third companies using specialized software.
- Attends informative seminars for training purposes.
Job Requirements
- University degree or diploma or other recognized title in Accounting or Finance or LCCI Higher
- Previous experience of at least 2-3 years in a similar position will be considered an additional qualification
- Very good knowledge of English and Greek.
- Very good knowledge of PC and MSOffice programs.
- Knowledge of the QUICKBOOK system software environment will be considered as a significant additional qualification.
- Character Integrity, Professionalism, Conscientiousness, Responsibility, Initiative, and Reliability.
- Knowledge of the applicable Tax, Social Insurance and other relevant legislation shall be considered as a vital, additional qualification.
