Assistant Project Manager

On behalf of our client, a broad-spectrum property management service provider, we are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees project scheduling, resource planning, and the budgeting process.
  • Manages the project timetable and risk management plan register, providing regular reports to management on project status.
  • Monitors key project indicators to ensure alignment with objectives.
  • Administers building contracts, managing timeframes, payments, notifications, and practical completion procedures.
  • Leads, motivates, and supports project teams to drive excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Reviews and controls construction operation plans, coordinating with main contractors and consultants.
  • Reviews and approves project variation order requests in collaboration with management.
  • Defines client requirements related to design, cost, and timelines.
  • Conducts regular key stage cost reviews to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Manages the project timetable and maintains the risk register.
  • Prepares and monitors key project performance indicators.
  • Administers the main construction contract, ensuring compliance with time, payments, notifications, commercial, and practical completion procedures.
  • Conducts regular site inspections to monitor progress and assess workmanship quality.
  • Undertakes design rationalization, including value engineering and installation efficiency improvements.
  • Performs formal drawing checks for main drawings prior to distribution.
  • Secures design approval from clients at critical design stages.
  • Manages the technical design process effectively.
  • Issues regular progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Attends weekly design team meetings and other required project-related meetings.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years directly related experience in an engineering/construction project accountability role.
  • BSc in Engineering, Building Science or any other field is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge and use of Greek and English language.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite/Autocad/Microsoft Project.
  • Member of ETEK.
