Financial Controller

On behalf of our client, an established supplier, we are looking for a Financial Controller, to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees daily accounting operations, ensuring the correct recording of all financial entries, agreements, and journal entries in the accounting system
  • Processes the monthly and quarterly closings of the Group’s companies, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial reports
  • Prepares substantive financial analyses and reports, such as profit margins, cost per project, segmented revenues, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Leads financial planning and control, including the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flows for the Group
  • Monitors and manages annual budgets and rolling forecasts to support the company’s strategic and operational goals
  • Ensures compliance with tax, legal, and regulatory obligations while maintaining strong internal control systems
  • Manages cash flow and banking relationships, aiming for optimal liquidity, working capital, and treasury operations
  • Guides, trains, and develops the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborates with senior management to provide financial data and analysis that support business planning, investment decisions, and long-term growth

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related subjects from a recognized university
  • ACCA or ACA professional certification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or financial control positions
  • Previous experience as a Financial Controller will be considered an additional advantage
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities in an environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), tax compliance and financial systems (such as Oracle, Easysoft or similar)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English, both written and spoken
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
