Head of Operations

On behalf of our client, a multidiscipline marine service provider, we are looking for a Head of Operations to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and manages daily operations for ship spare parts supply and delivery
  • Ensures effective coordination across Operations, Technical, Purchasing, Logistics, Warehouse, and Commercial teams
  • Monitors the full operational cycle from enquiry, procurement, and logistics to final delivery onboard
  • Ensures timely and cost-efficient execution of operations
  • Leads and supports Operations teams, ensuring performance, accountability, and continuous development
  • Monitors staffing levels and maintains operational readiness
  • Maintains strong relationships with clients, ship managers/owners, agents, and suppliers
  • Handles escalations, urgent requests, and customer issues in a professional manner
  • Coordinates with Sales to ensure customer satisfaction and service quality
  • Supervises logistics planning, procurement coordination, and global shipment delivery
  • Monitors delivery schedules to ensure timely onboard delivery of spare parts
  • Ensures compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and contractual obligations
  • Maintains accurate documentation, reporting, and records
  • Tracks KPIs, service quality, and operational performance, identifying improvement areas
  • Prepares reports and supports cost control and budgeting initiatives
  • Reviews and improves processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Supports strategic initiatives and business development by maintaining operational excellence

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in shipping, marine operations, or ship spare parts supply
  • Previous managerial or team leadership experience within the marine/shipping industry is essential
  • Strong understanding of marine spare parts procurement, vessel operations, logistics, and shipping procedures
