On behalf of our client, a world-class law firm, we are looking for a Litigation Lawyer to be based in their offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafts and reviews originating pleadings, defence statements, objections, submissions, and appeal outlines
- Appears and represents clients before the District and Supreme Courts of Cyprus, as well as other public authorities
- Communicates and negotiates with judicial and other authorities on behalf of clients
- Conducts legal research and prepares legal opinions on civil and criminal law matters
- Conducts legal research and uses legal tools such as Leginet, Cylaw, LexisNexis, Westlaw, and legal texts
Job Requirements
- Law degree from a recognised university
- Member of the Cyprus Bar Association
- At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in Civil Litigation
- Familiarity with civil and criminal court rules and procedures
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to take responsibility, carry out research, and manage tasks/projects
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Greek and English
