On behalf of our client, a ship management company, we are looking for a Senior Accountant, to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate accounting records and general ledger accounts.
- Prepares monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Performs bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
- Processes and monitors accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assists in the preparation of annual financial statements and audit requirements.
- Supports budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
- Liaises with auditors, banks, suppliers, and other external stakeholders.
- Assists with payroll and statutory reporting requirements when required.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience within the shipping industry, preferably in a ship management company.
- Partly qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) will be considered an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting and ERP systems.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Greek will be considered an advantage.
