On behalf of our client , a live-streaming platform , we are looking or a Senior Accountant to be based at their offices in Limassol , Cyprus.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leads all accounting operations for the Cyprus entity, ensuring compliance with Cyprus GAAP and IFRS
- Manages and coordinate internal and external accounting resources, overseeing daily bookkeeping, payroll, and tax activities
- Prepares and submit statutory financial statements and tax returns (e.g., VAT, CIT) accurately and on time
- Acts as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies
- Review and validate payroll calculations, allowances, and related employee payments, in collaboration with a third-party payroll provider
- Oversees and improve month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate reporting to the global finance team
- Provides data-driven financial insights and recommendations to senior management
- Drives process improvements, automation, and stronger internal controls within the accounting function
- Ensures proper documentation and audit trails, in line with local and international compliance standards
- Works closely with HR, Legal, and global finance teams to support business needs
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or a similar qualification is a strong plus
- 4+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role
- In-depth knowledge of Cyprus accounting standards, tax regulations, and labor law
- Experience working with IFRS and reporting in international or tech-driven companies
- Proven experience managing audits, preparing financial statements, and handling tax inspections
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide teams and collaborate cross-functionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite is a plus
- Fluency in Greek and English, both written and verbal
- Russian Languages will be considered an advantage !!!
- Highly detail-oriented, with strong analytical and organizational abilities
