Settlements Officer

On behalf of our client, a Financial Services provider, we are looking for a Settlements Officer to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs daily reconciliation of transactions between internal systems, PSPs, and banking partners.
  • Monitors and processes the settlement collections, ensuring timely and accurate fund transfers.
  • Investigates and resolves settlement discrepancies, breaks, and unmatched transactions.

  • Liaises with PSPs, banks, and internal teams to resolve payment and settlement issues.

  • Maintains accurate records of all settlement activities and ensures proper documentation.
  • Assists in optimizing and improving settlement processes and workflows.
  • Monitors transaction flows and flags any anomalies or potential risks.
  • Manages the exposure with all the payment providers.

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related fields will be considered a plus.
  • 1–3 years of experience in settlements, reconciliation, payments operations, or a similar role within the financial services industry.
  • Experience and knowledge of payment industry regulations, standards, and processes.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in documentation and contract management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills.
