On behalf of our client, a leading telecoms solutions provider we are looking for a Data Engineer to be based at their offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in the design, development, and implementation of data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Collaborates with senior data engineers and data scientists to understand data requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
- Helps building and maintaining data warehouses, data lakes, and other data storage systems.
- Supports data modeling activities to ensure data integrity, consistency, and performance.
- Develops and maintains data integration solutions to aggregate data from various sources.
- Assists in the implementation and optimization of data quality and data governance frameworks.
- Monitors and troubleshoots data pipelines to ensure data availability and reliability.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and delivering data solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Stays up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in data engineering and contributing to process improvements.
- Contributes to documentation efforts, including data dictionaries, technical specifications.
Main Requirements
- Up to 3 years of experience building production-quality software.
- Bachelors or Master’s degree and/or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, database management, and big data technologies is mandatory.
