Data Engineer

On behalf of our Client, a leading forex company, we are looking for a Data Engineer to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Designs and builds data pipelines 
• Designs and maintains data storage and infrastructure
• Integrates data from multiple sources, including internal systems and external APIs, ensuring seamless data flow across the organization
• Implements data validation, cleaning, and normalization processes to maintain data accuracy and consistency
• Monitors and optimizes data infrastructure and pipeline performance, identifies and resolves bottlenecks and improves overall efficiency
• Works closely with data analysts, analysts, providing them with the required data and infrastructure for their tasks
• Develops tools, frameworks, and libraries to facilitate data processing, analysis, and visualization for the organization
• Ensures that data is stored and processed securely, adhering to relevant data protection regulations and industry best practices
• Stays current with the latest developments in data engineering tools, techniques, and best practices to continually improve their skillset and the organization’s data capabilities

Main Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field, or a similar field
• Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English
• Technical expertise in data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Strong knowledge of SQL
• Self-motivated and self-managing, with excellent organizational skills
• Eager to learn and improve skills
