On behalf of our client, a cybersecurity company, we are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts threat and risk analysis and provides essential suggestions.
- Provides professional help in performing research, testing, evaluation, and deployment of security procedures.
- Examining and evaluating security-related technologies.
- Resolves security issues and other security data-related problems.
- Taks takes care of network traffic and internet connectivity data and reports on risks.
- Collects and analyzes data and assists in eliminating risk, performance, and capacity issues.
- Collaborates and evaluates esecurity programs for the organization.
- Supports customers in the development and implementation of policies.
- Defines security requirements for computer systems, such as mainframes, workstations, and personal computers.
- Maintains IT security control documentation for the company and customers.
- Suggests various solutions and implements them to meet the security requirements.
- Examinins technical problems and provids basic engineering and advanced support in solving the problems.
- Performs audits and security compliance checks, including network penetration testing, vulnerability scans, and other configuration analysis.
- Develops threat models and security risk assessments, recommending mitigations and countermeasures to address risks, vulnerabilities, and threats.
- Implements security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures.
- Designs various strategies and defensive implementations against intruders.
- Develops unique strategies for software systems, networks, data centers, and hardware.
- Closes off a security vulnerability in the case of an attack.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
- Compliance with the procedures and circulars governing the company’s operations.
- Designs security training materials and organizes training sessions.
- Creates own tools and actively take part in the security architecture review of client technologies.
- Conducts risk assessments and business impact analysis on new systems and technologies.
- Serves as a program management officer when cyber security projects are implemented.
- Assists in research and development projects.
- Writes procedures for the delivery of cybersecurity engineering services.
- Assist in the design and development of security features for system architectures.
- Offers integration and deployment of the computer system security solution.
- Makes sure that all information systems are functional and secure.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in information systems, information technology or related field.
- CCNA, MCSE: Core Infrastructure or MCSA certification.
- 3-5 years’ related experience in cybersecurity.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in Greek and English.
- Experience on VLAN Firewall, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VPN, port security and IPS.
- Strong knowledge of IT, including hardware software and networks.
- Ability to build consensus and relationships among executives, partners, and the workforce.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of IT systems.
- A deep understanding of how hackers work and the ability to keep up with the fast pace of change in the criminal cyber-underworld.
- Ability to identify vulnerabilities and risks in hardware and software.
- Knowledge of Cloud Service Providers like Azure, Google, AWS will be considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of DevOps and K8s stack will be considered an advantage.
- Related Professional Qualifications will be considered an advantage.
- A meticulous eye for detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
