On behalf of our Client, an importer and distributor in Cyprus , we are looking for an Accountant to be based at their premises in Limassol, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of accounting records, ensuring they are up to date, including intangible asset accounting records.
- Maintains and organizes the company’s accounting documentation according to internal and external (legal, audit) requirements.
- Processes outgoing and incoming bank transfers and communicates with banks.
- Responsible for issuing the company’s invoices.
- Works closely with contractors for issues related to the maintenance of the accounting records as well as the reconciliation of payments.
- Responsible for the preparation of the monthly payroll.
- Responsible for the calculation of bonuses and reimbursements to employees.
- Works with benefits in kind and tax exemptions.
- Prepares monthly VIES and quarterly VAT reports for submission.
- Executes any other tasks, as specified by management, related to professional capacity.
Main Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or another relevant degree.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of the English language is a must.
- Excellent knowledge of the E-Soft accounting system.
