Back Office Officer

On behalf of our client, a retail broker on a mission to deliver a streamlined trading experience, we are looking for a Back Office Officer to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in opening and closing client accounts, performing necessary checks and documentation. 
  • Handles account maintenance tasks, including updating client information, margin requirements, and leverage settings.
  • Responsible for client deposits, withdrawals and transaction processing to be accurate and efficient.
  • Maintains and updates electronic and physical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This includes verifying client information, and financial statements.
  • Stays up-to-date with relevant regulations and industry best practices, ensuring compliance with local and international regulatory requirements, such as anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures.
  • Collaborates with the Customer Support Team to address client inquiries and resolve issues related to account transactions, statements, and general account information.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to maintain client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Assists in monitoring and mitigating operational risks by conducting periodic reviews, identifying irregularities, and implementing appropriate controls and procedures.
  • Works closely with other teams, such as Dealing, Compliance, and Finance, to ensure seamless communication and coordination for efficient operations.

Job Requirements: 

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar Back Office role within the Forex industry or financial services sector preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Forex trading operations.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations, such as AML and KYC requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in using relevant software including accounting software, and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in shifts.
