On behalf of our client, a leading forex company, we are looking for a Back Office Team Leader to be based at their offices in Paphos, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees the daily execution of tasks relating to deposits and withdrawals.
- Leads the risk assessment of all transactions related to deposits, withdrawals, and credits to identify potential fraud and other related issues and take all necessary actions.
- Resolves internal and external queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepares various regulatory reports related to back office and administration.
- Identifies and enhances internal procedures, systems, and controls.
- Takes initiative, delegates effectively, and communicates clearly to meet the department’s goals.
- Provides leadership and guidance to the back-office team, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Continuously assesses and streamlines back-office processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Trains, mentors, and motivates team members to optimize performance and foster a culture of excellence.
- Liaises with other departments to facilitate seamless cross-functional collaboration.
- Prepares regular reports on back-office performance metrics, including transaction volumes, error rates, and turnaround times.
- Addresses and resolves escalated issues and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Leverages technological tools and systems to automate routine tasks and enhance productivity within the back-office environment.
- Ensures timely completion of back-office tasks.
- In addition to the above duties, the team leader from time to time will be required to undertake additional or other duties.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in back-office operations within the financial services industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and quality.
