Back Office Team Leader

On behalf of our client, a leading forex company, we are looking for a Back Office Team Leader to be based at their offices in Paphos, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the daily execution of tasks relating to deposits and withdrawals.
  • Leads the risk assessment of all transactions related to deposits, withdrawals, and credits to identify potential fraud and other related issues and take all necessary actions.
  • Resolves internal and external queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepares various regulatory reports related to back office and administration.
  • Identifies and enhances internal procedures, systems, and controls.
  • Takes initiative, delegates effectively, and communicates clearly to meet the department’s goals.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to the back-office team, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Continuously assesses and streamlines back-office processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Trains, mentors, and motivates team members to optimize performance and foster a culture of excellence.
  • Liaises with other departments to facilitate seamless cross-functional collaboration.
  • Prepares regular reports on back-office performance metrics, including transaction volumes, error rates, and turnaround times.
  • Addresses and resolves escalated issues and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Leverages technological tools and systems to automate routine tasks and enhance productivity within the back-office environment.
  • Ensures timely completion of back-office tasks.
  • In addition to the above duties, the team leader from time to time will be required to undertake additional or other duties.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in back-office operations within the financial services industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and quality.
