On behalf of our client, a company specializing in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Machine Learning and AI, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to be based at their offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Architects, develops, and maintains scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Collaborates with other teams to seamlessly integrate data from various sources into our data warehouse.
- Ensures data accuracy, reliability, and accessibility through testing and monitoring.
- Designs and develops rich data models for data analysis purposes.
- Optimizes data workflows, ensuring high performance and reliability of our data systems.
- Implements best practices in data governance, security, and compliance.
- Stays updated with emerging technologies and recommends innovative solutions to enhance our data infrastructure.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least 5 years as a Data Engineer or in a similar role with expertise in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
- Experience in Data cleansing and Data normalization.
- Vast experience in the development of effective data pipelines and the ability to translate complex source data into a consumable format and structure.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and their respective data services.
- Experience with API development will be considered as an advantage.
- Experience with ML Modeling will be considered as an advantage.
- Certifications related to data engineering or cloud platforms will be considered as an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
