Junior Electrical/Electronic Service Engineer

On behalf of Azimuth Radio Technologies, we are looking for a Junior Electrical/Electronic Service Engineer to be based at our office in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carries out installation and commissioning of client’s equipment on client’s vessels.
  • Carries out installations, repairs, maintenance, service of equipment on client’s vessels.
  • Investigates, diagnoses technical issues and implements effective solutions.
  • Provides technical support to clients and the company’s sales and support team.
  • Promotes and seeks sales of company products and services during contact with customers.
  • Performs surveys and inspections of ship radio communications and navigational installations, always on the basis of holding relevant qualifications, accreditations, and / or experience.
  • Trains in the latest equipment and integrated systems in line with experience and qualifications.
  • Preparation of service / technical reports.
  • Ensures adherence to safety precautions and project timelines.
  • Supports the service engineer/technical manager to complete all tasks.

Job Requirements 

  • University degree or diploma in Engineering (preferably Electrical ) or other equivalent studies
  • Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, communication (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD)
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • The position requires travelling

Procurement Officer

Procurement Officer

On behalf of our Client, a leading shipowner, and ship management company, we are looking for a Procurement Officer for their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Renders procurement services to the fleet team in which the procurement officer is embedded 
  • Works closely together with the superintendents 
  • Processes the procurement requisitions from the vessels, taking into account the procurement policy of the company and the advices from superintendents
  • Strives to optimize the procurement processes in order to come to the best price/quality ratio of goods/services purchased 
  • Contributes to the annual vessel budget and reduces the administrative costs involved in ordering the goods/services
  • Manages the shipment of stores and spare parts purchased and keeps the involved parties, like superintendents, ship’s crew, suppliers, agent closely posted
  • Manages the shipment of ship mails, NtM, ARCS
  • Checks and approves invoices and settle claims/disputes with suppliers, within the given authority levels
  • Rates suppliers basis price/performance criteria
  • Supports the reporting for third party owners
  • Other tasks may be given as deemed necessary by the superior 

 

Job Requirements

  • University degree or similar qualification in Maritime studies (Commercial / Shipping apprenticeship)
  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a procurement officer in the shipping industry
  • Previous experience in a ship managing company or company’s supplier
  • Sound understanding of procurement and the logistics 
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience in using PMS software solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a high sense of responsibility
  • Confidence when dealing with people often in difficult circumstances
  • Able to work under pressure and meet demanding requirements

Fleet Personnel Officer

Fleet Personnel Officer

On behalf of our Client, a leading shipowner, and ship management company, we are looking for a Fleet Personnel Officer for their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily crewing operations of the fleet assigned  
  • General day to day correspondence with vessels, customers and agents
  • Executes crew changes related to the assigned fleet in an effective and cost-efficient manner
  • Ensures effective collaboration and communication with the flag registries and monitors flag state documents
  • Maintains, monitors and updates, in cooperation with manning agents seafarer personal records in crewing software
  • Liaises with manning agents on crew selection and recruitment, and screens crew candidates 
  • Monitors performance of seafarers 
  • Prepares seafarers’ employment contracts
  • Arranges the crew traveling and transportation
  • Monitors repatriation, dismissals, promotions in cooperation with crewing manager
  • Controls the cost and monitors the budgets for the vessels assigned
  • Observes and follows the quality manual, operational guidelines and MLC requirements

Job Requirements

  • University degree or similar qualification in Maritime studies
  • Previous experience in dry or wet cargo sector is required 
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, communication (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a high sense of responsibility
  • Very good leadership, communications, and controlling skills
  • Able to work under pressure, take initiatives and meet demanding requirements
