Accounting Officer

On behalf of our client, a leading travel agency, we are looking for an Accounting Officer, to be based in their offices in Limassol.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains accounts payable records, ensuring timely payment of invoices
  • Prepares weekly cash flow statement/forecast for outgoing payments
  • Prepares suppliers’ reconciliation and liaises with them to resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepares and maintains proper bank records for outgoing payments
  • Prepares weekly/monthly reconciliations for bank accounts
  • Maintains suppliers register and update it regularly
  • Assists in issuing invoices to clients if required
  • Assists in following up and monitoring of pending refunds due to clients
  • Supports in budgeting and forecasting

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fields
  • 3 – 4 years of relevant work experience is preferred, but recent graduates are welcome to apply
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
  • Fluency in English and Greek is required (oral and written)
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and critical thinking
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
